God’s Faithfulness:
Our Story Continues
Celebrating L'Estère Christian Church’s 50th Anniversary
50 Years of God’s Faithfulness
In December 1976, a small church opened its doors in L’Estère, Haiti.
Fifty years later, we celebrate a story far bigger than a building. We celebrate lives changed, leaders raised up, families strengthened, and a Gospel that continues to reach generations.
Through seasons of joy and hardship, one thing has never changed:
God has been faithful.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Psalm 126:3
As we approach the 50th Anniversary of L’Estère Christian Church, we’ll be sharing stories from the people who lived this history—pastors, families, and believers whose lives were shaped by this ministry.
You’ll hear from National Missionary Pastor Brenus Etienne, whose father, Frederick Etienne, founded the church, and from others who have witnessed God’s faithfulness firsthand.

God places a vision in Pastor Frederick Etienne's heart to establish a church rooted in New Testament Christianity.
L'Estere Christian Church is established as Haiti's first non-denominational church.
The first church building is dedicated through the partnership of churches in the United States.
The church grows to approximately 250 members and becomes the "mother church," planting twelve daughter churches throughout Haiti.
Brenus Etienne completes his biblical studies and returns to Haiti to serve alongside his father as Associate Pastor.
Brenus Etienne becomes Missionary Pastor, continuing the church's mission of evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and community outreach.
Double Vision Christian Ministries
becomes an independent nonprofit organization with its own Board of Directors,
strengthens its partnership with L'Estere Christian Church and
expands support for ministry in Haiti.
The church remains faithful through Haiti's gang violence, continuing
worship services,
children's ministry,
leadership development, and
baptisms despite ongoing challenges.
L'Estere Christian Church celebrates 50 Years of God's Faithfulness, honoring its rich history while looking forward to the next generation of ministry.
